Author Guidelines & Submission Guide

Comprehensive step-by-step instructions for preparing, submitting, and tracking manuscripts to the Journal of Contemporary Business and Economics Studies (JCBES) via the Algerian Scientific Journals Platform (ASJP).

Step 1 Registration on the Algerian Scientific Journals Platform (ASJP)

All manuscript submissions to JCBES are processed exclusively through the official Algerian Scientific Journals Platform (ASJP) portal at https://www.asjp.cerist.dz.

  • Select your preferred interface language (Arabic, English, or French) at the top of the ASJP homepage.
  • Click on "Connexion" and then select "Registration".
  • Complete the required personal and institutional information in the registration form.
  • Upon successful registration, click the verification link sent to your registered email address to activate your account.

Step 2 Modeling Your Paper & Downloading the Official Template

Authors must strictly format their papers using the official JCBES Word template before submission. The template is available in the "Instructions for Authors" section on the journal's official ASJP presentation page (Revue ID: 617):

Important Formatting Requirement: Strict adherence to the official journal template is mandatory. Manuscripts that do not conform to these formatting guidelines will be returned immediately via desk rejection prior to peer review.

Step 3 Article Submission Workflow

To submit your prepared manuscript:

  1. Log in to your ASJP account and access the submission portal for JCBES at: https://www.asjp.cerist.dz/en/submission/617.
  2. Click "Submit Article" on the left sidebar to open the multi-step submission form.
  3. Enter Article Metadata: Select manuscript language, title, abstract (in English and manuscript language), and keywords.
  4. Enter Author Information: Enter complete institutional details and email addresses for all co-authors using the "Add Author" button.
  5. Upload Manuscript File: Upload the anonymized manuscript in Microsoft Word format (.doc / .docx).
  6. Finalize Submission: Click "Paper Submission" at the bottom of the form. A confirmation message and automated email notifications will be sent to all co-authors.

Step 4 Tracking Manuscript Status Online

Authors can track the progress of their submitted manuscript at any time by logging into their ASJP dashboard under "Papers" → "Sent Papers". Manuscripts progress through the following status stages:

⏳ Awaiting Editorial Processing The manuscript has been received and is undergoing initial desk screening by the Editor-in-Chief.
🔍 Under Review / In Processing The manuscript has passed screening and is currently being evaluated by independent peer reviewers.
🎯 Accepted / Rejected A formal editorial decision has been rendered, accompanied by anonymized evaluation reports.
✓ General Submission Requirements & Ethics
  • Originality: The manuscript must be original, unpublished scholarly research not currently under review by another journal.
  • Languages: JCBES accepts manuscripts in English, Arabic, or French. An English abstract and keywords are required for all submissions.
  • Plagiarism Check (DETECTIA): Submissions undergo automated plagiarism screening via the integrated DETECTIA system upon ASJP submission.
  • Referencing: Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style accurately.
  • AI Usage: Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Any AI language assistance must be declared transparently in an AI Declaration section.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
